Santa Fe Film Festival 2010:
NMWIF is proud to be a sponsor again this year at the Santa Fe Film Festival. We are sponsoring the movie AYLUM SEEKERS, which screens twice. On Thursday it screens at 7:45 pm at DeVargas 3 and on Saturday at 8:15 pm at Cocteau Theater. If you are interested in getting to know more about us, we will be introducing the film and we will also have a table set up to meet and greet you.
We will also have a table at the Hotel Santa Fe during the panels and discussion events. Come on by and get to know us! If you have been with NMWIF and want to volunteer to manage our table for a shift, please see info below on volunteer opportunity:

Non-Profit Resources for the Indie Producer
Many indie filmmakers can give chapter and verse on the tax rebate and film loan programs, but what resources are available beyond that? You might be surprised. Have you tried to tap many of these recently: contract awards, free equipment rentals, scholarships, screenwriting awards, producers academies, writers labs, documentary programs, mentorships, free workshops? The list goes on. Some are competitive, others have a nominal fee, but many are open to whoever signs up. Few places offer so much to the motivated indie producer and our panelists from key non-profits are here to walk you through some of what’s out there. Panelists include:
Trish Lopez - NM Filmmakers Program Director, New Mexico Film Office
Octavio Marin – Signature Programs Director and National Conference Director, National Association of Latino Independent Producers
Cara Mertes – Director, Documentary Film Program, Sundance Institute
Angelique Midthunder – Executive Vice President, New Mexico Women In Film
Moderator: Michael Hare – Independent television and film producer
